Our organic vineyard is comprised of six acres of established vines, planted in 2000 by the previous owner. We grow five varieties of grape – Marsanne, Verdelho, Cabernet, Shiraz and Merlot. Our grapes are harvested annually so that they can be lovingly crafted into our exclusive range of wines.

Our white wines are made using Marsanne or Verdelho grapes, and we are renowned for our famous sparkling Verdelho. We blend these with red grape varieties to produce both a still and a sparkling rose. Our red wines are crafted using our Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet grapes, either alone or blended. We also produce two fortified wines. Our bottles can be tasted at our cellar door and purchased directly. They can also be ordered and purchased online.

Our Reds

2024 Barkhouse Lane Shiraz

This hand-crafted wine has well balanced aromas redolent of ripe red and black berry fruit. Time spent in both French and American oak barrels is reflected in hints of smoky, peppery spices and smooth dark chocolate. It is a wine that will age well for another 5-7 years if carefully cellared because of its finely structured tannins. The harmonious blend of mulberry and spicy plum flavours combines superbly with red meat dishes such as pepper crusted fillet steak.

2024 A Quiet Nod Cabernet Sauvignon

This classic style of Cabernet Sauvignon demonstrates a delicate balance. A delightful refreshing mouthfeel in a dry full-bodied style will enhance dishes that feature full food flavours. A delicate combination of plummy fruits and mocha oak result in a complex palate of sweet berries and dark cherry characteristics that makes this wine a perfect accompaniment to slow cooked meats and roast vegetables.

Sweet Seduction

A light, sweet, blended red wine made from a combination of estate-grown Cabernet Sauvignon and Verdelho blended with Shiraz, displaying a delicate bouquet followed by a rich and sweet mouthfeel. Can be lightly chilled in the summer months.

2020 Brothers Five Shiraz Merlot Cabernet

This classic blend has an aromatic appeal of juicy dark fruits such as plums and raspberries, with a suggestion of dark chocolate in the background. The palate features these fruits as well as touches of vanilla and background bursts of mint. With ageing, this wine will develop additional complexity that will enhance its present full-bodied yet easy-drinking style. Ideal food partnerships include slow-cooked meats or pork ribs with barbeque sauce.

2023 A Gentle Nudge Verdelho

A smooth, dry white wine that reflects the sunny Queensland climate with tropical fruit aromas that provide a zesty flavour lift to the palate. Sun-ripened peach and melon characters reflect a delicate balance between fruit sugars and acids, resulting in a pleasing mouthfeel. A highly recommended accompaniment to cuisine featuring fish and chicken or slow-cooked fruity tanginess and curries.

2023 The Journeyman’s Late Harvest Verdelho

The Journeyman’s Late Harvest Verdelho is a delightfully sweet, fruity white wine achieved by a carefully crafted process of using fruit organically grown and hand-picked and allowed to over ripen on the vines to raise the natural sugar levels. Blended with early harvested fruit to increase acidity to produce a beautiful sweet wine that will appeal to those who enjoy the sweeter things in life. Sparkling Wine

Field Song Sparkling Verdelho

This wine exhibits a medium straw colour with light green and gold hues. There is a hint of sweet florals on the nose with subtle honey notes resulting in a toast-like complexity on the finish. Rose

2026 Sunstar Symphony Rose

Imbued with the silky, sophisticated flavours of Verdelho, this delicate rose wine has aromas of raspberry with a hint of nutmeg in the background. Combined with Shiraz, the palate experiences a slightly dry yet soft finish. Rose is a lovely celebratory wine that can equally well be partaken of on its own or with foods such as soft cheeses, cured meats, zesty olives or light seafood.
